Default single turbo ?'s

I got a question ... I was thinking bout going single with a gt35 dual ball bearing turbo set up. Looking to get around 375-450hp. My question is is this turbo decent for what i am looking for. My next question is specifications. I have the 1jz and not sure about what trim, a/r, exducer, and inducer sizes i should be looking at for both turbine and compresser side.

^it might be over kill, its a really nice turbo if your ever looking to turn the boost up in the future, usually the big wheel turbos (a/r exhaust size) affects spool time.

Yeah but this is a medium size turbo. I know guys with gt45's in their preludes. I Was thinking bout compresser side = 58trim and turbine side = 83 trim with a/r = .70......how does that sound? Probably would only run about 19psi or so

Gary that Turbo is still sleeping at 19 psi, that's just my opinion. On the 1JZ the best Turbo in my opinion will be a billet 62 instant spool, make the same power as teh GT35 and will out spool the GT35.
That Turbo make 700rwhp on JZ engines all day long, that's what i will do if i that was me.
Again it comes down to what you really want and what Turbo you like.

GT45 on 2JZ is laggy as hell so GT45 on prelude is and not saying that it hasn't been done but .. you know.
Good luck man but do alot of search about these turbo before you jump on something you may not like.

It will out spool the GT35 even if its dual ball bearing. Yeah it will still be sleeping at 19psi...u are right about that one. Whats a good sight for the billet turbo u mentioned (price wise)?

$900 for a JB billet series wheel....which means even tho its JB being that the wheel is billet it spools fast

$1200 for the Dual BB which is better then the JB but honestly bein that its a 62mm i dont think its worth it to spend the $300 cuz one its already a decent size turbo, not too small, not too big...and the wheel is billet so it spools it even faster...so honestly i dont think the dual bb is worth it

but hey u can always upgrade later

You can buy a brand new Billet 62 between 800-$850 shipped to you door.
I will not buy the BB because it's over price and overrated in my opinion, the spooling time between the (2) is almost identical seriously i wouldn't buy a BB Billet Turbo.
Get the 6265/ Anti Surge Housing with .68AR exhaust housing so if u decide later to go for 700rwhp just swap the back housing to the .96AR and turn up the Boost.

Even if it's 35R the 6262 and 6265 JB will out spool it hands down. The 35 is in the same class with 6765 i still think the 6765 will outspool the 35.
You always see the Billet 67 making 650/700/750/801/835 rwhp but i have never seen the 35R making that kind of power on JZ engines not saying that it's not capable of doing that but it looks like every one is selling there Turbo for the new Billet Turbos.
The Garrett should last longer but in my case i really don't care i change my setup every 6 months and it's only $850 no big deal ... J/K lol.
I daily drove mine at 20-21 PSi all day everyday and unless it's raining.
