If you live in CA you should hide your gauges. CA cops look more at the gauges, like A pillar gauges, to develop probable cause to pop your hood and go all smog **** on you. Could screw you bad.

As far as the cops are concerned most guys on here are probably not dopers and have more to worry about smog than drugs.
