Ya my Carbing one is pretty close to my 1UZ, used washers and it clears just the thickness of the washers. Have had it there for 7 months now, no problems..

For most of those who are using washers, I'm guessing you guys are using the strut bars more for cosmetics than for actual functionality correct?

if you are going to say it does not work.......Personally I drove 4 times with off then on then off and I can feel a difference. who knows maybe is me. But I think I would not take it off.

It does work because there is something rather than nothing, but it's much better to make a full spacer rather than using washers so the base of the strut bar can have full contact. If you're feeling a difference with the bar (via washers), then your chassis is floppy to begin with, or it's all placebo.

It looks good though , and I doubt most people on here track their cars to the fullest to even care about getting the most out of their braces.

I want a strut bar, but I wasn't sure if they make a huge difference or not. What exacly does a strut bar do?

It feels like its stabilizing the front end it might help a little improving handling, and adds stiffness to your ride. I feel improvement with handling. I took it to my nice NC back roads.
