Ordered all new OEM Lexus suspension parts for my 1/120. Control arms, shocks, tie rods, a steering rack, sway bar bushings and end links. Can't wait to see how it'll drive!
That's awesome! It makes a big difference in how the car drives. I did my front upper and lower control arm bushings, a new steering rack and new end links last year. It made a massive difference. My steering was so off that I considered getting rid of the car. Now it feels great. I just need the sway bar bushings like you ordered.
Not installing a barrier there will cause your doors to leak into the foot wells of the front and rear seats, this will cause mold.
I've left this seal open or out completely on several vehicles that get driven and used in all kinds of Colorado weather. I've never had a drop of moisture touch the inside of the door card let alone get into the interior of the vehicle. However, if this is common on SC's for some un-foreseen reason I'm going to copy the technique above and get mine sealed up correctly.

Yeah, when I purchased my car, it didn't have a seal. The guy I bought the car from decided that he wanted to tear the whole interior out. As a result, after it rained one day, I saw water in the floor pan and the rear seat pan. Once I sealed the door panel, the water stopped leaking into the car.

The front vented splash shield only provides about an extra half inch of clearance when compared to the original plastic one.
I need to measure to see if that is enough clearance for my floor jack to fit under the car. The original plastic always prevents my jack from reaching the subframe. I have to use 2 jacks to lift the car, but I'm able to lower the car using only 1 in the center.
