Default Driver Door Hinge

Got the car back this morning from my body shop. Reman door hinge installed for $75. I must say, the door opens and closes now like it was new. Can't say enough good about Daryl Demarte' craftsmanship. He even emailed me the install instructions when I bought it from a previous buyer. Highly recomend his product.

i would try to turn the key to start the car and i would only hear a 'click'. the starter wouldnt even try to turn over the engine. i would keep turning the key until the car would start, but it only gets worse and worse until eventually your car wont start.

Damn front brake caliper seized up. So I ordered new calipers, new lines, rotors, and pads for the front of the car. No point in doing them one at a time. Hopefully they come in tomorrow or Thursday when I'm off so I can install all the new stuff. Would have went the LS400 BBK route but I'm still riding on stock wheels so I don't have the space for them. Pic's when they're done.

Got the new intercooler hard pipes routed. Got to get them welded up. Also got to get the Tial 50mm BOV welded to the cold side of the intercooler piping. Gonna put it behind the bumper.

Welp, my poor car was not totaled and thankfully it pays to know people. The place I took her to to get fixed works with my insurance company on a daily basis and they were able to squeeze out a bunch of pennies to get her fixed 100% and with oem parts. I should have her mid-next week. I'll post before and after pics then.

I do know that I'M not doing this to my SC but still wanted to share.

Nice, so you can have some money left over for upgrades then!

New front calipers, pads, rotors, and brake lines. On my old SC I replaced one seized caliper, then a month later the other seized up on me. When I ordered another from Centric I got one in a different color... so I replaced these in pairs this time. Centric powder coated these black and they look pretty nice imo. Not sure why one rotor had all the extra holes drilled in it though...

For anyone doing the brake lines, spray a bunch of rust penetrant on the hard line nut as soon as you take your wheel off, and keep spraying it while you work on the calipers as 20 years in the elements takes it's toll.

As of today I bit the bullet & ordered 2 new OEM igniters, they will accompany the new OEM coil packs which I have coming as well in a separate order from Toyota JP. So the ignition system is now completely new & refreshed on the 1UZ & rid of the 20+ year old ticking time bombs, any future failures are now out of mind during my ownership at least.

89621-12050 - IGNITER ASSY x2 ($727)
(1991/05 - 1997/09)

90919-02197 - COIL ASSY, IGNITION x2 ($280)
(1991/05 - 1995/05)

Prices are in AUD & cheapest I could find through various sources.

Whoa those are pricey new! Could buy a spare motor with igniters for that lol. But, the value of piece of mind is always gigantic.

Are you out of your mind? Rockauto has them for $70 each... I could have shipped them to you...

That's insane pricing, I don't know AUS exchange rate, or shipping costs but that's seems insane to me. Plenty of people on here will do you a favor, just ask.
