Default Do replica bodykits fit?

I saw a replica veilside kit on ebay for $450. Do they fit well? I got one a long time ago for my mkivTT supra and it was a nightmare trying to fit it. It need lots of shaving and molding done to fit right. Will the same happen on our sc's or do the replica kits fit? Anyone have one/ if so how was it? thanks

a few members on this board have the copy body kits on their SC's as of recently. autobotxsoarer or sc400 (same person) said that he had to modify it quite a bit to make it fit. i don't know what's involved, but you might want to ask him. But he has it on his car now... looks good... from what i can see.

There's no question that replicas will fit or not. It's whether they fit nicely.

I'm pretty sure you'll have to do modifications because they make them half-@$$ sorta.

Bottom line : you get what you pay for

hello...

The main problem I had with mines was the sideskirts... They were off by about alittle so when I open and close the door, it would rub.. I had to shave them about 3 hairs from each side of them... My kit was already painted and I didnt have a sander, I used a saw... =X It all depends on where you get it from.. Im not going to lie to you, some places have kits that are so off, you will need to go get it modified at a shop which will end up charging you like another $100-$200 ..... You might also want to check how thick that kit is before purchasing it as well... Do not get a thin kit, you will regret it a week after you install it.

Don't buy a replica kit....buy the REAL THING. Here's SupraTRD's Sc with a REAL AutoCouture kit...real quality.

that autocouture kit looks fantastic. how much time does it typically take to put together the whole kit, assuming you had 2 people working on it?

It is better if, you get the kit in person due to so many variables such as: shipping-may crack the bodykit, fit-it may not fit, hidden costs, wrong kit -for different car. These things happened frequently so, buying a kit or replica kit is not the question. It is the source which, is ebay itself. Buy it in person so, at least you have a better idea what you are getting.
