Default Stalling in automatic sc400.

My car stalled on me for the first time the other day after I had just started it and had to stop at a light I was trying to catch, and had no choice but to brake slightly hard.

I've noticed in past weeks that the RPM needle bounces slightly when downshifting under braking. The tranny does not seem to slip at all when shifting up under acceleration, though.

I had a V6 1999 Accord before this car and those auto trannies are the absolute worst ever. I don't need the same problem again. The accord tranny was much worse though because it would slip like hell.

What am I looking at here?

Engine grounds? Their easily corroded. Also when I first bought my SC it came with a super small battery and would turn off only at points when I wasnt giving it gas (breaking or stopped)

yeah the accord and the acura cl 3.0 were the biggest piles of monkey crap in the world i had a 98 acura cl so i feel your pain... your problems can be either a few things... idle air control, tps,maf would be the first few things you should check on... but i would need more info on your car to know what so start with and does it happen often or just that one time?

It happened that one time.

Hopefully its not the transmission, but I think it may be.

I have just noticed that when downshifting the RPMs drop more than they should and I get an engine braking effect. This mostly happens when I let go up the throttle sometimes.

When you say down shifting you do mean the car downshifting itself? Your not throwing it into 2 Are you?

Yeah, the car downshifting itself under braking. I'm not putting it in two.
