can a leaking waterpump cause a bad idle?
My car over heated for about 3 minutes the other day right in my neighborhood and i limped it home as fast as i could and shut off the motor. The next day i found out my radiator cap was busted.
Then i changed my coolant and got a new radiator cap,tried driving the car but the idle was really fast pulse steady at 1900 rpms. After the drive i noticed my water pump was leaking.
Could the faulty water pump be the cause of my fast pulsing idle??
From what i have read coolant levels effect the idle.
