stock thread pitch for 5speed shift knob

looking to replace the shift ****...ive done some searching around here but i keep finding conflicting numbers some say 10x1.25 others 12x1.5....and so on

anyone have an exact answer?

I did this on my SC. Im tryin to remember. I think its 10 x 1.25. Its not 12. You can get a thread pitch gauge @ the auto parts store. I used a solid pcs of brass that fit my momo universal **** & drilled & tapped it screw on. I was gonna glue it in the shift know but decided to cut the brass to just the right length to use the set screws that it comes with. That way if i wanted to sell it later on i could. The set screws dig in, nicely to the brass. Once done I screwed the brass on to the rod, tightened it down, then put the **** on to center up momo logo. Then tighten the set screws, then you can unscrew the ****, & when you put it back on, the logo is always lined up.

yeah i have a pitch guage somewhere at home but couldnt find it the other day when i was looking for it, so i figured i could find the answer on here somewhere.

10x1.25 sounds about right but im not certain.

its 10 x 1.25. i just bought a TRD leather shift **** for mine and it fits amazing and looks OEM.

thanks for the reassurance!

did you get the ball type or the larger one? i see alot of people with the larger one but not the ball, which is the one id be interested in.
