Default SC400 - A few questions

Hello all, first off...thanks for everyone who has posted answers on here, I have had the 400 for about 6 months now and between here and lextreme I have had no problem getting through just about everything that has come up. What a great car these things are. I've had loads of toyota products including a MKIV supra na and I think this lexus is up there with it in my favorites list...

I have a few problems that I am struggling with:

1: After replacing the motor and transmission mounts (awesome smoothness now) I notice that the automatic shifter moves around (forward and backward) quite a bit under braking and acceleration. This is to the point that if I really get into the brakes hard it will pop into neutral. What causes this? Is it rear subframe bushings that are worn or something?

2: My car seems a little sluggish in the acceleration department. I did a little stopwatch 0-60 test and it was 8.3 seconds...not exactly earth pounding. It has 127k on it and runs pretty smooth, but I feel it should be a little more powerful. What should I start with next?

3: My car has some sort of electrical gremlin (pretty minor really), at idle the lights kind of flicker dim and bright a little, headlights and everything. Kind of like a bad drain on the electrical system like when the alternator is bad and you have the turn signal on or something (but the turn signal isn't on). I've replaced the alternator, that didn't do it.

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

sorry your going through those issues.

as for the car being sluggish---try doing some basics like chaging the plugs-wires-air filter--and make sure to use premium gas.

Im sure that will help at least a little bit

good luck
