Unhappy keep the sc or get something else.. i need help

so i cant decide on if i want to keep my car or not. i love it, no doubtingly but there are some things that i just dont want to bother fixing on it. i have about 8k worth of parts just sitting to go on but i cant decide on if i should sell the car or put all the parts on.

my options are:

-ctsv
-911 carrera
-corvette
-is350

i have a fully built head/injectors/fpr/intake manifold/q45 tb/y pipe/downpipe, aem ems/jumper harness, complete (down to the last nut and bolt) 5spd swap - soarer trans all just sitting in my garage

Hmm...that list is kind all over the map

Even given the obvious first decision, coupe or sedan, it's tough without specifics (year, model, options, etc.); the choices could change considerably.

Personally, I would NOT put all those parts and labor into a car with rust issues. The other stuff is mostly nuisance issues, but they can be pretty frustrating too; it all adds up.

I'd keep the SC and save up for another car man. You don't want to make the mistake a lot of members do and get their dream car, only to buy ANOTHER SC six months later. You'll regret selling it and want another if you do.

What year Corvettes are you looking for?

Really Bryan? When I meet you in OC this summer seemed like you had plans. Don't let a couple of issues keep you from getting the car finished. All of these car small minor issues. The rack is a cheap fix along with the window rust. Door panel, even easier. Just it cracking and get to work. Hell drive her down to S. Fl and I guarantee you it's will be up and running in a week. And besides, you'll get fid of it only to get another one anyways. We always come back, always.

I forgot to take in account the rust. I also wouldn't mess with a car with rust. If you can get a good amount of money from your SC, I'd sell it and get both a Corvette/IS350 and another, cheaper SC.

Meh, if it has that much rust, I would ditch it. Get a cleaner SC and swap all the goodies into it..... Or, get a Vette.....then you don't have to worry so much about rust hehehe

Get another SC if you are just in love with them and swap the good stuff.

If you do not want to mess with labor and parts yourself and want a car that you can just get in and drive then go for a 2004ish BMW M3. For about 25 grand you can get a very nice one and it will remain a classy looking ride for a long time.

With higher miles you can save even more.

I'd buy this if I was leaving the SC model completely:

if your sell your sc and buy a new car... im 100% sure you will want to buy another sc again so might as well get a new car and keep the sc.

but i hate rust... sell your sc and buy a another sc in better condition put all the parts on it.. turn the sc into a toy car.. then buy your self a new or somthing reliable car from the dealer with extended warranty then your good to go! you have a cruiser car to just drive around the city... then a toy car that feels good to have. trust me my sc died on me after i put a turbo on it..got tired of it and sick of it so i just picked up a new e60 530i fully loaded thinking i would just sell the sc as a shell or something but still ended up fixing my sc after it sat in my garage for about a year. just now im putting it together but with a 2jzgte engine =]
