Ok heres the story. I am currently looking for a sc300 or 400. See if you can keep up. Both are in my area.
1) sc300 1200$ blk on tan 7/10 interior 7/10 paint. orgin body kit. no engine no tranny no drive shaft. looking for the last registered owner for title so i may not be able to get one will know in a few days. forgot to check if it was 5 spd or auto.
2) sc400 1400$ white on tan 5/10 interior 5/10 exterior. running and driving auto. all interior electronics work. clean title. comes with a wrecked sc300 missing engine tranny and rear subframe. so it has the crossmember and black dash and steering wheel and a sc300 auto cluster. maybe the colant tank and AC stuff
i have a 2jzgte r154 66mm turbo and i want to swap it in what should i do?
sc300 or 400? risk it and wait for the 300 title info to come?
for me its a toss up. the 400 i know has working windos and sunroof ect..
but the 300 is eaiser to swap a 2j into wich WILL happen
thiers a shell in chicago clean tite clean and mint body for 1300.00 is on clist
Seen that shell and its not that clean.... plus has usual midwest rust.
Hes better of finding cleaner cars in the South. I wish I had a truck and trailer... id go to rust free states, I stay away from the Rust belt here in the Midwest.
As far as which car well you gotta consider pros and cons of both models,
get the 400 and do the swap(iam doing the same thing) you don't want to mess with cars with shady titles.
you could do youre motor swap with the 300 and what if you can't get the title for some reason. then you can't register it, and you can't drive it legally.
