ive always wondered this but when and if you registered your soarer. is it the same as registering any other car or is it different because the whole right hand drive thing?

 

@ kim ; it is a quite bit different. i went through s.c's dmv. basically, customs doesnt want any car over here no matter what. that's the way they look at it. they try to find ANYTHING that's wrong with the car. such as airbags. 85% of japanese cars do not have airbags. another thing is like on the soarer, i have a 3rd seatbelt for the middle person. they did not like that. but all in all, the soarer's technology and the way it was built was to powerful for them. now cars such as a ae86 is different. excuse my french, but **** getting that car.

and the bad part of it all is that customs has the power to take your car away from u if they find something wrong with it.

The only thing i think might be an odd situation with having a right hand drive car is what happens if you get pulled over by a cop? I would think the cop might be freaked out that the driver side is on the right side of the car. Have you been pulled over yet?

yeah, i've got pulled over alot. never got a ticket yet. the cops are always amazed. only one time has a cop asked for me for " legal documents saying the vehicle is legal " .. he asked that and i was like, " HA, your stupid " . if it was illegal over here, i wouldn't have a tag. fail.

@rpk ; yes, the soarer is authentic. i'm going to take a picture of the vin number and post it as my sig. haha. and no, im not the owner of Rywire. ryan's just a really close buddy to me.
