looking to run about 600-650whp, whats is the most cost effective way to handle the rear end /gearing

Sc300/400?

Short answer: swap a stock drive train in from a tt mkiv.

short and to the point how all posts should be thanks guys..just wanted to know if I would need tt axles for the diff.

Nope, SC300 axles bolt right up. Just swap out the pumpkin. You will need to swap over the input companion flange. Go pick up a 35mm deep well socket.
