I see no class in that engine bay..

 

i wanna do mine all black. this reminds me of a Popsicle freezer. but fun to look at. good work.

 

I'm feeling this the only problem I see IMO is that you did not far enough with the paint detail. The cam cover should have been painted red to match the top, maybe paint the cruise control box blue, fan shroud blue etc... I feel that you did a great job but could have taken just a little farther.... Still I'm feeling and to HELL to all the haters dissing your bay. I guess I'm tacky too.

 

I did mine all red, painted just about all the covers and replaced the hoses ect. but not really liking it any more wanting to go all gloss black with little bit of red

 

Too much contrast there! I happen to have a pet peeve against colored split loom.

 

you did a fantastic job of painting the timing cover and valve covers.... my honest opinion...i like the color combo but for some reason i want MOAR color on yours!!!....i wanted to paint my timing cover red but i decided against it cause i wasnt sure if it would be to much....i think i might end up doing it after seeing how yours came out...

I agree though colored loom always looks like crap IMO, but different strokes for different folks i suppose.

 

Looks good, and its clean. I'm sure you put some time into it.
At least you take care of your car.
It could look like mine. I just bought a 98 sc400 and this is what my engine looks like.
I have a lot of work to do.

I was going to take a picture of the engine but then I noticed something...



It looks like it was spitting the antifreeze out right? so I opened the radiator cap and there was hardly any in there! (the reservoir was empty too) I had alredy put some in there once before and now its low again has anyone had this problem? Is there an issue with my coolant system?

 

^^ look for leaks around the car, rad, hoses, water pump. if nothing is leaking it may be your head gasket

 

Everything looks good except the blue and red parts.

 

Yes I would say you have a (coolant system) problem. LOL

OP: good job. Don't worry about what haters out there say. Its all about how you like and wanted it looks. We change looks all the time. Thats the life of enthusiasts/modders/DIY'ers .
