Mine is red. Other than oem, what are the other options? I heard it's bad to mix colors, but prestone now makes a coolant that you can mix.

Why would you want to run anything other than OEM? Price might be the only excuse I can think of, but think of the expenses that could follow after mixing coolant and possibly damaging components?

Just a thought...


If you absolutely had to, you would need to flush the entire system, including the heater core. Start completely over with your new fluid to avoid any cross-contamination.

 

Using anything other than oem red is not good for your seals in the long run
