DONT work on your car for 2 days before selling!
So I put my car up for sale since the birth of my daughter. I was hoping it would sell but secretly not I had it apart with a brand new FMIC kit and new headlights for it. I had a couple people contact me about it but no one wanted to pay less apart so I put it back together. I started last night and finished today.
I have to say it was so hard to go out testing it and driving around knowing that it was as good as gone when I finished working on her for the last time. I received a deposit today and it will be gone this week
I owned the car for 5 years now and have gone from bone stock 92 5-speed to having buddy club race spec coilovers, ls400 brakes, 19" Axis wheels, competition stage 3 clutch, 1jz swap (done by me and a couple friends), FMIC, soarer headlights, etc.
It has been a blast and a lot of fun and I will be VERY sad to see it go, but it is for the best and there will always be others. I appreciate all the time and articles on here that have helped me and made me laugh throughout the past few years. I will lurk still but may not have another SC for a while....

Thanks I gotta say that the 2 things that sucked more than doing work on my car for the past day or so were; 1) being outside and not being inside with my wife and 8 week old, (2) not being able to take her for a ride in it before I sell it...I don't think at her age the noise and spooling turbos would be a good idea. In any case, there are ALWAYS future projects and things to build/enjoy with her and maybe another in the future. Just is REAL hard to work on a car and get it running so well to give it away right after.

When I look at my daughter every minute I know it is the right decision. My wife and I already are talking about what will be next...she is awesome too and knows that I want to build cars as it is my hobby. I just can't wait for my daughter to be able to wrench on it with me...yeah she is going to learn and tell all the boys whats up!

Well person who has a deposit on it is from Silver Spring. However, if things fall through it is going to Wilmington NC next weekend. Either way she is definitely gone but next time I will come back bigger and better...

That sucks, but you're correct, it's worth it!
Where are you in MD? I lived in aspen hill and laurel for three years and worked in beltsville...my oldest son, who is now seven, was born in Columbia.
