Default Loss of all Electrical - Then Resets on it's own

It's happened 3 times now. I put the key in the igniition, the steering wheel starts to pop out as I turn the key and then all electrical dies. The only circuit that I can tell that still has power is the cigarette lighter. The first time it happened it reset in ~ 15 min. The second time, I don't know how long it took, I jumped into the truck and drove it to work. It just happened again for the third time and I'm trying to time it because I'm not in a hurry.......yet. No reset at the 15 min mark.

Any ideas as to what is happening and the fix?

I hadn't read your post but that is correct place to go. It seems it may have just been a loose positive post battery clamp. It was very loose when I first touched it. It just got replaced and so far no problems. Thanks for responding.
