I think the SC400 looks much better than the SC300... particularly the emblem! The way the 4 sits between the C and 0 just looks so much cleaner than a 3!

i couldnt afford a supra and i wanted a project..

well i always loved SC's and pretty much any JZ powered car, on my 1st SC i chose a 300 because i could do a 1jz swap so cheap and have a nice boosted car to daily drive.

my 2nd sc300 i picked up because it was a 5 speed black interior, and i wanted to boost it as well.

3rd SC i got because it is a 97 RSP black interior car with boost lol..

with SC's i personally would rather pick up a 300 and plan to boost it, with my GS430 though i got it so i wouldn't have to do a motor swap and just enjoy the v8.

I would take a SC400, but the only ones i would really look at are 98+ when they got a nice HP bump..

i'm just a huge inline six 2jz/1jz fan.. not that the 1uzfe isn't a great motor, just now as much support and is going to be more of a pain to make power with.

I became a Lexus guy after I bought my ES300. Was randomly looking through carsoup one day and happened upon a '99 SC300 with 74k miles and I had to go take a look at it. Drove up to the dealership that had it and fell in love. I started researching it, found out it's the Supra's cousin, and decided to buy it.

I had been saving up for a G35 Coupe, but the SC is so much more beautiful.

Looks, Supra compatibility, looks, and at the time was tired of my MKIII supra. I've got another supra now for a hot rod project. An 87 model.

I bought the 400 for the price mainly. It was such a good deal, I couldnt pass up. At the time I bought it, I didnt know it was the Supra's cousin, or nothing about them. I still like the rumble of the V-8. Its never let me down, and its a daily driver. I have now learned so much more than I did earlier. The motor is pretty much bullet proof.

Bought it for the price and comfort factor. These cars bone stock ride like you're on a cloud. As much as I love a lowered sporty ride I'm keeping my car 4x4 status as a daily driver while I have my supra to thrash around when I want to get nasty. I do wish I bought a 300 though, as I'm finding that the 1u is a huge PITA to service vs my supra.

I was uneducated in the Lexus scene and bought the very first one that came to me, a 400. Never ever looked back or regretted it once.
