Default It's been a while, time for an update...

Hi everyone,
my car's been busy as my DD so I didn't do anything major as far as restoration goes, but I have been working on interior trim and detail. I bought an oem black carpet to replace the tan one and honestly the black carpet is a must for anyone with a tan interior. The original tan carpet gets dirty & discolored quick.

A while back my center armrest leather was peeling so I stripped it and painted the panel underneath. It matched well with the piano black center console but somehow I cracked the middle

So I need to get a replacement but while I was looking at the crack I thought to myself maybe I could fix it, better yet mod it; I had a crazy Idea a while back for a hidden mount for my phone/mobile devices. Heres my new project i'm working on:

I'm still working on a hinge but basically i'll be able to open and close it when needed. This may not be for everyone but it's just something i'm playing around with until the armrest is available.
Heres how she looks today after a bath:

I'm also working with some surplus polyethylene to make a front lip spoiler.

Thank's for the compliments guys, i'm still searching for a set of black seats and a black door panel carpet alternative to complete the carpet swap.

You wont regret the carpet swap, just be prepared for a long day of work if your doing it yourself.

The color I went with is BMW jet black color code 668; IMO this is one of the darkest blacks available. I would have went with onyx black but it is not as dark it has more of a deep dark gray tone.
