so by tracing the pins on the circuit board i found its the resistor labeled R8 that needs to be jumped, its the Brown Black Orange Silver (10K Ohms) resistor

Sorry, haven't been keeping up, but if we are talking about a bias resistor, generally, you remove the resistor, not jump it... one leg of the resistor should go to ground... double check me, but if that is the case, and you install a jumper, you short out that circuit...

its not shorting the circuit, just eliminating that resistor in line, and making it as if there was just a wire trace instead. If i was to remove it, the circuit would be broken and there would be no complete signal being transferred.

Are you 100% sure? I thought the same thing until I had to remove bias resistors, nit jump them in my aftermarket ecu... then, after studying the reason for them to start, learned that they generally pull to ground on one side... before jumping it, I would remove it and make sure the back side isn't a ground...

the resistor is going between a pin on the prop chip, and the other goes to the ig- , not ground. the connection goes nowhere else.

I'll double check though, i kinda want to desolder the chip to see exactly which one is it, that way i know whats going on between those two posts.

duhafnusa4 you are correct you just bypass the resistor by soldering a wire across the 2 pins of the resistor.
Most do not remove the resistor incase you want to go back to stock you can just cut/remove the bypass wire.
If you remove the resistor you will still need to solder in the wire to make the new connection.

found the thread with a picture of the front of the board, with the resistor that needs to be jumped.
post 9, this is from a supra but tach board is more or less the same.

wait you said you jumped r8? the thread says to find resistor r109.

I just found this but on some SC's its on the main board itself.
http://www.supraforums.com/forum/sho...-R109-Resistor

Mine was on the tach board itself R73 on my 95, so maybe the 92-94 are on the main cluster, for 93 you need to find r109.

hey so I have 3 codes coming up on the dash, 2 for the sub oxygen sensor heaters, which I expected, but then I am getting code 47 (sub throttle position sensor) also.

can i wire the signal from the TPS to the STPS?

from post 16 of capt dales thread on clubna-t

"Check engine light on due to a code 47. When you do the NA to TT wiring mod there is no longer a TRAC. Because there is not a TRAC the ECU flags a code 47 which is a sub-throttle position sensor fail. The Sub-throttle position sensor info is used by the TRAC system. To get rid of the check engine light associated with the code 47, just place a jumper between ECU B41(5vdc, VCC) and B42(sub throttle pos sensor,VTA2). That provides a +5 VDC signal to the ECU VTA2 telling it that the Throttle is WOT. Makes the ECU happy and the code 47 goes away."

So code 47 did not clear out after doing as you showed above.

I disconnected the battery for 20 mins and still its there.

I also have the bouncing revs when i open the throttle around 10%, and its running really rich

what ecu, injectors, tps, and map sensor are you using now, I think I got lost with all your changes.
that should have worked for the sub tps, you splice into 41 leaving the original wire there and run you new wire into 42. If you have trac control on your n/a you can probably just hook it up to the sub tps sensor and retain trac control.
also did you check the timing?

USDM Supra TT ECU
Supra MAP
GM IAT
JDM Supra 440ccs (550s are in the mail)

I dont have TRAC, and i did as you said, i pinned in at 42, ran the wire and spliced it into 41, made sure it was getting 5v too.
