Does anyone know why there are to diff. amp alt. shown for a 95 SC300? And does it matter which one I get? I need to replace the alt. and two stores I went to both showed a 80 and 100 amp altenator. At Adavace Auto it listed the 100amp as 1st production, and the 80 as 2nd production. And to confuse me even more AutoZone only listed one and that was the 80 amp.

So I need to know which one I should get or if there is not a difference I can get the 100 amp cheaper.

There is a difference, I just got one for my SC and unfortunatley I had the 100 amp one (like 40 bucks more). PAin the *** it was like 199.00 next day aired.

Well I ordered the 100amp and got lucky. It was the right one. The back of the case looks different between the 80 and 100. A good parts store should have pics of both of the altenators to compare to yours.

Hope this helps somebody down the road.

Oh and I had to get mine from advanced 199. and had to order it. My favorite store in town had it for 129 but their warehouse was out.
