haha thanks everyone, yeah power is a must, originally i was going to swap a 2jzgte, but then when i took off the mufflers of the car..the 1st vid.. to just give a throatier stock sound like how the g35/350z purrs...i got BIT BY THE V8 BUG..and it just never stopped... lol and now i'm glad i actually chose the 400 and i'm going to enjoy force induction on this beast

I have magnaflows with a similar piping setup with a X-pipe and it just sounds deep and throaty down low and really crisp up top without any rasp. It's probably close to, if not Cali legal but it sounds wonderful. Plus I picked up a very noticeable gain in gas mileage and power. Put some mufflers on it, it can be louder and still be classy.

Ahaha AMEN to that man. I'm going to boost too. I'm glad I'm sticking with the V8. Tune ups are so easy. up for sticking with 1uz. Too many people swap 1jz and 2jz. Make it beastly!

I'm perfectly content with the 1uz. I love the symphony it produces and its good on gas for a v8, reliable as the sunrise, an has *****.

OP, I like your exhaust a lot. It all depends on the drone of everyday driving and how bad it is or isn't.

Straight pipe after cats sounds perfect. I think im going to go with that setup.

OK, we just installed the FLO PRO TWISTER MUFFLERS and it's still aggressive, but quieter... everyone at the shop said b4 it sounded like a Mach 1 with headers, and now it sounds like a GT with full exhaust, it feels like it pulls better too, the twister design is suppose to help exhaust flow, being that it's straight pipes with mufflers

with the straight pipes no mufflers, the exhaust stopped below the axles, and it would vibrate the car from 1500-2000 and it was extremely loud inside and outside... NOOWWWW... it's still loud outside when i punch it, but its really quiet inside bc the pipes are now all the way in the back

I DO MISS THE LOUDNESS BEFORE THOUGH lol..it started to grow on me
I'm thinking about doing electric cut outs behind the mufflers, under the axles so i can enjoy that loud v8 when i feel like waking up the road

thank you guys.. one of the buddies there was telling me to keep it the way it was with straight pipes and said he didnt like the sound of the twister mufflers bc he heard them on a twin turbo stang, but he smiled when we started the car... i ordered dynomax race bullets b/c he convinced me the twisters would sound bad, but the owner of the shop has been pushing these mufflers toward me since he looked at the stock exhaust, so i will have the bullets returned when they arrive 2mrw for refund

found some headers for the sc400 for 999.99 a piece and i'm thinking those plus some cams with a nice lope and a supercharger is in order

yeah it wouldve been cheaper and faster with a 03 cobra with bolt ons... but everyone besides their momma has a mustang.. or a g35, 350z, corvette...

it would just be oh wow... there's another cammed mustang... lol
