If you look closely enough at the first two images or a working oem SC climate control you can tell the icons are slightly different and the text is slightly more narrow, both very minor differences. I hope to finish soon as well! Unfortunately this project takes a lot of time and money so I'm taking it one step at a time.

Here's a re-post for comparison.

The installation was a tad bit tedious, but overall pretty straight forward. I also replaced all the bulbs in the climate control.

Here's a before picture with my blackened LCD and spotted display.

The old display desoldered.

Here's the finished product with a fresh display and bulbs. The result turned out excellent, with only very minimal noticeable differences from the factory display. In my opinion this was $60 very well spent.

Yeah, I also thought about transplanting a display from a newer one, but I would've still wanted to replace all the bulbs behind the display which is easier to do once the display is removed. It's a pretty simple swap, just takes some time to desolder all of those pins.

Thats freaking good work mane. I am so impressed with your whole FACTORY look. I used the same climate control. Been good to me for over a year now, and still bright! Was the center vent 174?

Thank You! I will try and remember to do that once I'm finished with the restore. Yeah, I had a hard time finding a few of the pieces. New SC parts are becoming very scarce.

I removed the seat back to gain access to the clips holding on the plastic trim around the net, once I was able to gain access to the net I trimmed the elastic band down and reassembled. It was pretty simple.

Thanks! Glad to hear the screen is good long term. I was a bit skeptical about it, but was pleasantly surprised with it's quality. The center vent was $172.94, I think there were only three left in existence when I ordered mine.

By the color he prolly used dealer bulbs. The colors are close looking to me. Thanks for the supply note on the center vent. I need a set badly! Anyone have a set?

That's correct, they are original incandescent bulbs. I was not looking to mod this one, just an OEM restore. Colors are the exact same as I used the colored caps from the old bulbs.
