hey guy i just recently bought a 98 sc300 from a guy he told me it needed new coil packs which i changed i also changed the spark plugs and wires and new valve cover gasket i put everything back together now i go to start it theres seems to be misfiring like its going to bog out and die which it does it doesnt keep a idle i hear all these popping noise sounds bad cant figure out please some one very familiar with these motors help me

 

sc300's have coil packs????i though the sc400s had them, and the sc300 had plugs cap n rotor and wires and one ignition coil?? maybe im wrong... unless you've got a gte cause im pretty sure those have coil packs?? anyways if you changed the wires make sure your firing order is correct cause if not your screwed...

 

I would say check your gaps on your plugs, make sure all the vacuum hoses to your intake manifold are properly in. The metal gasket could maybe need to be replaced if wasn't removed and reinstalled carefully and correctly... Since you're on coil packs, I would figure you installed the firing order correctly...
