hey thanks a lot guys. I appreciate the kind words. To everyone who says its going good, I appreciate it a lot. I will be home for spring break in a week, there will be updates then. I'm going to take a before and after picture with a ruler next to the car so we can get a precise drop measurement.

I'm glad I can contribute what I can to the forum and CL family.

I'm pretty sure stock supra springs will lower the sc by .5" Sc's looking good. BTW putting lowering springs on stock shocks is not good.

Any plans engine wise?

Supra lowering springs on supra shocks isn't a good idea? I don't really know my way around the suspension business just yet.

I do appreciate the comment though. The car is my pride and joy. I have heard as well about the .5" drop on an SC. Works for me.

He is saying dont lower a car on oem shocks. They will wear out a lot faster then normal.

It's true, you know. Those are virgin shocks though, so I'm sure it would be ok if you ran lowering springs on them for a while.

Hey everyone, updates, kind of. I'm attempting to install my suspension on this beautiful saturday afternoon, however I'm running into problems. The lower bolt on the shocks, on the fronts, is just SO absurdly tight that its disgusting. I haven't even gotten to the rears yet but I assume its the same way. I only have a small 10'' wrench and socket wrench so I have basically no leverage...On a positive note, I installed my LED city lamps this afternoon and I'll have pics up by tonight. Looks like this will be taking a while...long long while.

Try some PB blaster on the bolts to help free them up a little. My ball joint castle nuts were pretty tight and it helped out a lot.

Also, if you have a floor jack with the removable cylindrical handle, you can put that over the end of your socket driver for more leverage.

And if you're using an open-ended wrench, some brands are made to lock end-to-end with with each other for leverage as well.

Good luck. I did my own coil overs with a friend, and it wasn't so bad. Definitely worth having someone experience to at least supervise.

Thanks mongoose. I appreciate it the suggestions. I tried taking the handle to my jack off but the hole in that just isn't the size of the wrench...My boss gave me a breaker bar but we couldn't find a size socket to fit it. So about 15 minutes ago I found a socket to fit it so I'll try again tomorrow. But here are some pictures of the progress I did make today!

This was me getting started.

These are LED city lamps and my modded fogs matching! NO HEADLIGHTS HERE

Here is the full setup!

Hopefully tomorrow will be a more productive day suspension wise.

Thanks guys! The next step in my LED conversion is going to be some clear corners and white LED's to match in those spots. Just like this guy!

I finally get my chance to tease! hehee

The wheels are HP design Evo 2's. 18x8 and 18x9 +38mm
Strut bar is an MK3 strut bar that I'll need a few washers to make fit.
Suspension is from an MK4.

Enjoy!
