Tell you what the genuine expensive side skirts dont fit correctly either. I have the Orgin ones and we just molded them in.

Thank you! I got the CR because of the wheels. Drying the wheels with compressed air every time I wash the car is too time consuming.

Get this:

Been using those at work for the last several years for ALL drying duties. The best thing you can get for your detailing hobby. You'll dry those wheels in seconds.

Before I bought the CR, I was on the fence about buying the CR vs the metro blaster because they're both around the same price. I ended up going with the CR first because I already have a dedicated leaf blower and compressed air for drying cars. I'll think about the metro blaster some time in 2019. I want a Rupes nano ibrid too after running into more situations where it would have been useful, but the price is a tough pill to swallow for a hobbyist.

Yeah I agree about the ibrid. We bought that whole kit about a year ago and honestly RARELY ever use it and we do paint corrections every single day. It's just not needed for majority of cars if you know how to use the main buffer around tight spots. But when you do need the small machine, you'd be glad you have it around. It's not meant for long continuous use, just a warning. It gets SUPER hot to hold after about five minutes of heavy use. I mainly use it to polish door jambs that are really hammered or some tight sections on lower trunks and front bumpers, otherwise it's useless.

I get what you mean. I can get close to the edge with my rupes, but there are a few spots (especially around vents or painted carbon parts) that I wish I had the ibrid. Do you guys have the short neck or long neck? I'm leaning towards the long neck.

Had to look it up. Didn't even know there was a short or long neck. We definitely got the long neck.

Honestly, if you're comfortable using a rotary (which is how I started this way back), I would just get something like this and not even mess with the ibrid:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/AUTOTRIZ-Na...53.m1438.l2649

WAY cheaper and gonna outlast the ibrid because as long as your rotary is spinning and doesn't die, this will work. I am not sure how long the small ibrid machine can last or how much abuse it can take. And you still can't get it in some really tight spots because the head still has some bulk to it. This thing you can get it into the door cup area (the area underneath the door handle that always gets scratches) almost all the way, can't do that with the ibrid.

I haven't used a rotary since 2008. I never mastered finishing down the paint properly. I would always have to follow it up with a dual action to get rid of the holograms. If I still owned the rotary, I would buy that kit right now.

I'll definitely keep it in mind when it's time to purchase a smaller machine. Thanks for all info!

How it currently sits after replacing the lower control arms and blown struts and spring with coilovers. Waiting on Daizen steering rack and sway bar bushings next
