That car is stunning. Have you had that resprayed? LOVE the color.
Yes. Completely repainted. Same stock '92 color ("Silver Spruce Metallic"- 6M3) but the mix is a tad darker than the original and the metallic ratio is always a factor. Then, several coats of Klasse poly sealant.....
I washed my car for the first time since applying a ceramic coating 2 months ago.
Beautiful man..... How did you like washing a coated car? Makes alot of difference huh! If you don't already have one, get the 8hp (4+4) Metrovac blower. Makes drying so much fun and easy.

It's an unbelievable experience the first time, and it confirmed that all my future cars will be coated. A coating is one of those things that has to be experienced to understand why its worth the money, and the same can be said for the cost to install. I dried my car in 8 minutes using a cordless leaf blower and 1 16x16 mf towel for my paint and 1 more towel for my wheels. That's less than half the time it usually takes me to dry the car. The water just glides off the car like a water fall.
My only regret with this coating is that I bought 30mL bottles instead of 50mL. The larger size would have been enough to coat my door jambs and under the hood/trunk. I think it would help avoid leftover water spots after driving the car. I still have a gyeon mohs and gyeon booster kit that needs to be installed, so I'll take the leftovers and apply them to the door jambs on the SC.
A metrovac is on my list of things to buy in the future, but for now the leaf blower will have to do. I've spent too much on detailing stuff recently. My addiction to mystery boxes doesn't help either.
Thanks. I use Klasse Sealant which does a pretty fine job. I might try one of these others in the future.
I haven't used a klasse product since 2007. It was a great product for its time, but the technology for car detailing products has advanced so much in the last 10 years. Klasse is still a great product and if you are happy with the results, then there is no need to switch. If you want to try something new, then a water activated spray sealant or coating is the way to go. For quick maintenance on my other cars I use Nanolex Wash Coat which is mixed with water and sprayed on the car when it is wet, then rinsed off. 97-SC300 recommends CarPro Hydro2O which works the same way. (I still haven't tried it yet, even though I have a small bottle in my garage).
The coatings have a very tedious install process. A complete paint correction should be done before the install because any imperfections in the paint will be amplified once the coating is installed. If you choose to go the coating route and diy, then do some research into what the flashing time is for each product. If the product completely cures on the paint before you wipe it off, then you'll have to polish it off and redo that section, so it is best to only work small areas at a time.
