Magnaflow Pics/ Video Coming

I was talkin' about the catalytic convertor. $200? I wonder if it loudens/deepens the exhaust sound. Are performance cats just less restrictive? Where's Peter Scott to chime in with the fluid mechanics explanation?!??

I had a complete custom exhaust installed, 3" from the turbo all the way to the split, then 2.5" to each muffler. No catalytic convertors, no silencers.
The mufflers are Dynomax SuperTurbo's, and the tips are cheesy $8 JC Whitney specials. I didn't want huge fartcan tips on it, but as soon as these were welded on I saw the error. With the size of the opening it NEEDS fartcan tips. I love the look of the magnaflows that y'all have, I might have to switch. I like the round ones Bean showed the best.
Here's the full exhaust. I took the most direct route that could be taken, fewest bends.

Yeaj you definitely need to get some bigger cans in the back. Aren't you trying to sell your Lex though?? Why invest the dollars if it's going bye bye anyways.

Nope I will be keeping it. Some people talked me into it. Those same people are giving me free crap if I put their stickers on the car. Stay tuned to see what happens.

Does the sc400 have a cat on each down pipe(so that makes 2), is this right?
Where are the cats on a sc400? Anyone have pic's?

There are three cats on the SC400. There are two, one on each downpipe as you said, and an a third on the midpipe. The two on the downpipes are straight through and the third is hte real killer. I believe it's a dual-wall reflector cat, which is why my car is still so quiet without any of the four stock mufflers. Here's a pic I took of the belly of my car before my new mufflers. I circled the three cats in red.

Thanks for the picture, lex400sc, that put things in perspective.
But another question came to mind, is the third cat(the really one) is this a cat and silencer? Or are the silencer the two small oval-shaped thing going to muffler?
Also the two identical cats on the down turn pipe from front of exhaust, will removing these make a difference soundwise or performance? I would think that just removing'em them alltogether is better?
Ok, lets make this thread hit the 10 page mark.

Hmmm.... one of my friends owns some muffler warehouses and carries Magnaflow, I get mufflers for $30 each. Maybe I should consider doing that if everyone likes them so much.
