direct port coil?

does anyone one what this is? it is on the bottom of the intake ...it has a fuel line bolted on to it and sprays fuel into the intake...was wonderin if it was like a cold start or sometin...

mine was dirty but cleaned it up since i have the intake off...


also the front main runners have more build up then the others does anyone kno what wld cause this? lmk thnx
