Get this. They Even send you a $25.00 Gift certificate towards the purchase of another new radiator from them. you usually get it about 3 weeks after you buy the first one. I still have mine i think, if anyone wants it tell me.

I bought my SC400 1 year old, it had 22,000 miles on it. Since I bought it I have put 130,000 more miles on it. My Car now has 159,000 miles on it.

I have replaced:

Radiator
Tranny
T/C
Driveshaft
Alternator
Power Steering Pump
Battery
TPS
MAS
Timing Belt 2 times
I've done about 75 oil changes
Put new Fan and Shrowd
new Oil Pan, an Gasket,
New Plugs and Cables
New Seats
New Steering Wheel

The Car Drives perfect, like it only has 158,000 miles on it!

My Lexus GS400 only has 12,000 miles on it and I bought it new in late 1999. My SC400 is my beater. and trust me I BEAT THAT CAR UP!. You couldn't tell by looking at it, the paint is perfect, the interior is now perfect, no cracks, only my damn dashlights are going out.... ARGH!

To find out if your radiator is going out, simply check both sides of the top plastic cap and look for small hairline cracks in it.

Yes, the radiator Top Plastic Tank crackig is a VERY common problem among ALL Lexus Models..

P.S. Always check for the smell of coolant and look at the fan and shroud for coolant spray.

holy cow! i check it out and you are right. I didn't see a hairline clrack on top but I didn't notice it while I was parked straight but I parked the car on a slight uphill and there it was... coolant leak! If you still have that coupon can you hook me up? Thanx

I'll see if I can find it. I carried it around in my wallet forever. I'll get back with you if i come up with it.

P.S> Don't try to patch the problem. NOTHING WILL HOLD.

You should replace the tank, or Replace the entire Radiator.

I HIGHLY recommend the Radiator replacement because of the fact that you will be getting a steel tank and a lifetime warranty.

Keeps us posted.
