Default acouple diff questions (i searched)

okay my 93 sc3 diff grenaded and im searching junkyards for a replacement. sc's are so hard to come by so i found a 93 gs300. i removed all bolts as per instructions

but i cant drop the diff. the cv joints wont come off the diff after i removed all hex bolts and the drive shaft wont pop off either. i kicked and jiggled the the diff loose but something wont let it drop. is there something im missing? should i torch the cv joints or something cuz its abit rusty. do i need to unload the springs and jack up under the control arms? also whats the gear ratio? thanks

Once you follow all the above steps in your post, the diff should drop off with no problem. I did my diff last month and had no problems removing it.

Unbolt the driveshaft center support bearing by removing the exhaust heat shield. It should be very easy. 4 10mm nuts for the shield and 2 14mm bolts for the bearing. The driveshaft should drop down and give you enough room to free it from the diff.

got it done thanks, i didnt need to remove the driveshaft. turns out the cv joint were really rusted on to the diff i had to bring a big fu**n hammer and pound on the cv joints. now im trying to drop the diff i have on my car to put in the replacement but those bolts are being even harder to break loose. even with bp blaster and a torch.
