Default Exhaust control valve

My exhaust is pretty loud and tryin to look for a solution. I read about the ECV and makes the exhaust quieter. ECV goes right after the Cat. While reading that and thinking, if you are restricting the airflow in the exhaust, where does the rest of the air goes that being blocked? Could this really damage the engine since it a restricted airflow so it has to go somewhere...

One more thing, what size it is the pipe that goes to the Cat then into Y-pipe connection? 61mm?

you can't see them unless you look in the tailpipe. Your only other option is getting a different exhaust.

5zigen is one of the more quiet exhausts out there. If you want something quieter, maybe consider just doing some tips like magnaflow's.

As for the ECV, i have always that about the effect it had as well. Some of my friends ran them and didn't have any problems though.

I love the looks on the 5zigen. For reason ppl say it quiet, but mine is loud. People tell me that all the time. It has stock resonators. I think i might try this ecv and hope it works.
