I need to replace my radiator, so the question is Copper/Brass or Aluminum, what's your opinion? Is paying $150 for installing a radiator and thermostat a good price or am I gettin ripped?

 

Its a 45 minute job so yeah, $150 is getting ripped....Coppers the best for heat exchanging, but is hard to find and $$...Aluminums radiators are everywhere and can be had for cheap.

Do it yourself, it's relatively straight forward.
Let me rephrase that.

It's easy as hell. Plus, you're learning!

You are not getting ripped if you do not know how to do it to begin with and afraid you might break parts off and end up $$$ more. That price sounds normal if it includes parts (coolant & thermostat) and labor then you provide the radiator. You are basically paying for peace of mind.

DIY and basically all you pay for would be the parts.
