Default Looking for a sc400

Yo whats goin on.. im new to the forum and am seriously thinking about purchasing myself a sc400/sc300 5 speed. I just sold my 95 Mustang GT convertible and before that I owned a 91 3000GT Twin Turbo. I'm a full time college student and need something reliable now my questions are what should I expect in owning one of these cars? What should I look out for before buying one. From what i've noticed most of all these cars last about 200k+ miles now is this because people enjoy putting the money into them or they are just a really good reliable car? I only have $4000 and have been on the lookout but am still undecided to go with the lexus or possibly a 97+ Prelude Sh (gas saver). Any thoughts are welcomed...

thanks.

Look for a car that has been well maintaned, clean title. Miles doesnt matter as long as the car has been well takin care of.

You can get a 92-95 SC300 or SC400 for like $3k-up as for hondas....... their cool an all but their bait to cops and get stolen alot....thats why i left the honda scene.

GL and welcome to the forum.

I agree. Check out other websites and the classifieds in this one. They may have one or two. They are great cars.. The 300 or 400. I have the 400, due to liking of the rumble and I found one with low mileage. Also check out www.intellexiual.net. They have a lot good info about these cars, as well as www.lextreme.com.. Good luck with your findings and let us know what you find. Welcome to the club!

Its a luxury car so expect to pay more $$$ when modding. You definitely can't compare against hondas. But for the gas mileage, then this is probably not the one for you since you are a college student and all. Everyone puts 91octane with this cars. I average about $50-60 to fill it up. Getting about between 280-320miles on a full tank.

^^just make sure you see those receipts^^

They're very reliable, as is any car if you take care of it right and keep up with preventive maintenance...always good to see another 400 owner
