Default What is this?Air control sensor?

Anyone know what this is or what it does?? I bought my SC300 with this on my Injen intake...only thing I can think of is it's some kind of air flow sensor?It has a **** on it to turn left/right..

what does it do when you turn the ****? i would take it off just due to the fact that its not supposed to be there.

that would be your factory mass airflow sensor. and i have no idea what that switch is...i'd say chuck it

Well it feels more like -50hp ...it has 106xxx miles on it so I plan to change the wires/plugs etc hopefully this will help it have a little more of a push off the line...the car just feels so heavy!!

thats probably from that little box..and it feels heavy cause it is ..Good plugs, cap/rotor, wires will perk it up a bit, but throw that thing in the garbage before it fries your MAF

Right but,I just want to know if anyone has an idea what it is before i toss it..I just don't want to take it off and it shoots an engine code or something ya know..

nope you dont need it, ebay hp mod chip whatever the hell is exactly what it is, if you have a check engine code from removing it that means you always had a check engine code...

its a potentiometer wired to your mass airflow sensor signal wire to the ecu. this tricks the computer into thinking that your car is more air entering therefore adding more fuel, or vise versa. one of the cheapest ways to make power
