Default 1992 SC300... Second Official Modification!

Well, as the title states.. I did the headlight recondition D.I.Y...
Turned out pretty good in my eyes. Haven't got them on the car yet, considering I don't have a garage here at my new house anymore. First mod. was the BFI DIY.. That helped quite a bit actually also!

Here are some pictures of the progress. Sorry if they aren't perfect...I took them on my LG Dare phone..LoL

Enjoy!
-Justin

Pics of them inside the car very soon.. Maybe in about an hour if I can find a flashlight..LoL

You're gonna be able to see all the little squirrels and chipmunks hopping in front of your car now before you plow through them.

Gotta be able to see to drive, FULL and complete DIY headlight restoration is the best safety mod out there. Props for not pussing out and just sanding the lenses like some of these girls around here.

LoL Believe it or not, but all I used was Windex, some quite rough paper towels and a soft dry cloth. I didn't have any 1500-2000grit wet paper here, so I decided not to sand/buff them. Altho, I believe they turned out decent. I'm sure an H.I.D kit will be in progress over the winter, but for now, hopefully these will be alright.. I'm about to head out right now and install them..
Be back in a few with some pictures!

EDIT: The lenses themselves were sanded a while back tho..

Yeah, but you didn't stop at step one.

Step one - sand lenses and buff out

Step two - ignore the rest and go back inside.

With the projectors clear, you'll be passing focused sharp beams like never before.

LoL well I got my *** back out there and installed them! Took some photos.. Ignore the turbo sitting on the engine bay, I had it sitting there earlier.. That's the BIG winter project. Well, here are the updated lenses.. Wish I had before pics, but it was daylight then LoL

Oh, and O.L.T... I need a new Instrument Cluster.. White on White.. Or White with Blue needles.. But thats a different subject..LoL

Excellent work. This is something that I will need to do to mine since you have that yellow-effect to them.

Thank You sir! It really makes a literal "night and day" difference!PLUS the lenses themselves look amazing! The chrome lining inside shines like a brand new nickel!

LAWL ^

We make exceptions for people that replace their car 1/4 at a time every month or two. We understand you're busy "doing other stuff".

I wish everyone knew how easy and fairly quick this upgrade really is.. Difficulty wise, i'll rate it a 4/10.. Most is time consuming.. Just waiting for the oven to pre-heat..Heat up the sealant, cleaning off the glue, cleaning sealant off of tools used, and bearing the smell in the kitchen for an hour or so..LoL

It really is quite easy AND useful!
