In CmputerWhiz's defense:

My gosh. I'm sorry, but that car is NOT ugly. It's CmputerWhiz's SC300 5sp w/ ~425 HP @ the rear wheels. He's got a bomex body kit, and metalic chips in the red ("sparklized" in the words of one of my friends), and the white is a sweet pearl. If you've actually seen the car it's very nice. He's also got 18" Milles on there. Not to mention Whiz is a very helpful member of Club Lexus and a cool guy too.

There is nothing nasty about that car. Some say the spoiler is too much, but I think it's alright. It's a spoiler that actually does something as opposed to the stock one that does JACK (or maybe does JILL ). The car is cool, it's got show, and it's got go. I'd take it anyday.

It's a nice car, and I think you've made a quick and uneducated judgement. I'm also surprised that you post here often and don't know Whiz.

Here's his car's classified ... https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...threadid=45724

So you think this car is nasty. I'd say it's nasty too, but I don't think we'd mean the same thing.

Also note: His decals are now gone, he took them off for a cleaner look.

Toog4me this isn't intended as a flame, it's just that CmputerWhiz gets flack on the time for his car, and it's undeserved. Most often it's from people who are unknowing, and don't realize how nice it really is. That photo you saw was very low quality, but his car is very cool IMO. and that's my .02. NTM that he's a senior member of ClubLex and used to be an admin in this forum before he had a job that sucked up all his time. Check out the # of posts he's got. And they're all intelligent ones too -- he knows what he's talking about.

here you can kindof see the metal flake. Pictures really can't do justice to this kind of paint -- when you see it in person it looks very cool. Whiz has got one of the most unique SCs in ClubLex.

I saw that on ebay the other day, I was surprised to see it there. I don't care for the red, but with that much power - who cares, you can do that! It looks so much different painted all white, much nicer IMO.

Wiz's SC is tight... I can't believe you didn't know it was his! He was the SC mod fer chrissakes, and it was on his sig for the past year!! Anyway, I wouldn't clown that ride, it's all show and all go. Not only that, but it is unique in it's show.

i really like the way the car is painted. i was thinkin of getting the red inverted to yellow, but only if my car would have been as fast as it looked.

I was wondering how long it'd take for someone to say something about it, each to their own. :P

You don't see me saying "Man look at your SC400, it's soo boring." (which it's not, just an example)

And yep, it's all show AND all go. I wasn't looking to make another SC300 like the rest of them out there, and I drive it the way it looks.

That's why I'll sell it for cheaper to someone here, because y'all know the hell the car has been thru. Engine is still going strong though! I love Toyota's.

I have to agree with Toog....its HIDEOUS. On its own, the car has an elegant form....too bad the paint, spoiler, and stickers don't compliment that form....they instead scream TACKY RICE. Mainly the paint....it looked very well done when it was solid white....now its gone waaaay over the edge, deep into riceville. Or as we say on the RX-7 list, the automotive disco fashion treatment.

The car is sweet, and is a deliriously happy marriage of luxury and sport. The car is his, and it speaks of his persona. Mine speaks of mine, that is why I picked that color with those wheels. I just wish I had the bite behind the bark.

It would make a good project car....
Even if you didn't like the looks of it.

(That is if the compression #s can be verified by a 3rd party.)

After all, a good block and head is what is most important. Other stuff can be swapped out easily.
---****Didn't I hear he ran it without oil, though? and started making some expensive noises?****

It might look like something from an eighties TV show (Dukes of Havard or more like Starsky & Hutch) but it certainly is a decent car, looks nicer in all white for my tastes.
