Default damaged front stabilizer links ??

Hi everyone,

I had my shocks and struts replaced about half a year back. Nowaday when I back up down from the garage or come to a quick stop I hear an annoying loud noise from the suspension. I recall Luxosc400 said this is a damaged front stabilizer links (the toothpick-like link that connect the stabilizer bar to the suspension. See

)

If so are my front stabilizer links gone or what. Has anyone experienced this and what to do to fix it? Thanks,

James

I think I may have this same sound... we should record the sound and upload it 2 the web... send me an email jtj@tocci.net I can host anything needed... got my own dedicated server sitting on a T-1 line.

About that sound. It sounds like a loud POP. Almost like the sound that's made when someone cracks their neck, or cracks a knuckle REALLY good. Or even the sound that's made when someone dislocates a finger, or when they put it back in :eek:

...sounds like it might be from your control arm bushings...

...can you isolate exactly where the sound is coming from?

that's exactly when it's most prominent for me.. reverse, and usually when I have the wheel cut to one side or the other.

I believe that sound is just the brake pads shuffling from one side of the caliper to the other.My suspension is real tight,and I've had the same thing since I got the car.
Maybe the guys with Supra TT brakes have it different after the swap and could shed some light on this one.

I never had this noise before. Only heard it after the suspension was messed with. Oh well... the price we pay for performance upgrades
