Car is a 92 SC400

I had a leaky PS hose, which I fixed today. It left PS fluid everywhere so I decided to do a quick engine shampoo, sprayed some degreaser and rinsed off with clean water. I didn't have the water under pressure or anything.

I let it dry for about half an hour, started the car, and it started up fine and idled.

I went inside for lunch, and went back out another 30 mins later, tried starting, but it wouldn't fire up. It just cranks, but doesn't fire.

Pulled the intake off, checked for water in the intake, was dry.

I've only had the car a couple of weeks, and i'm quite mechanically inclined but I'm a noob with this motor, i'm a nissan guy. Where is the 2nd coil? (i know there's one in the middle of the engine) And where are the 2 ignitors? Also how do I properly check for spark and fuel on this motor?

As with most other people who have washed their engines you probably got water in your spark plug locations. Sorry for my poor vocab, I don't know the proper name of that place, wherever the spark plugs are located.

 

I found them right after I posted this, lol.

Well... I undid the negative battery cable, and started looking at all the connectors for the coils, ignitors, looked at the wires, and i blew any water off them with compressed air. Hooked the battery cable back up. And she fired right up

 

hope you learned a lesson...lol...

 

this didn't need to be moved. The issue was already resolved.
