I see a Texas plate, which hopefully means it was a Texas car its whole life, so ZERO rust. Fix the mechanicals and repaint it, easy restoration. Interior doesn't look that bad actually, seats aren't ripped up.

Just joined this forum and I have already benefitted from this community to improve my stock 92 SC 400 with 99,000km / 62,000 miles - thanks to everyone who has contributed to this great resource. Just came across a stock 97 SC 300 manual on an enthusiast auction site which will, in a week's time, give us an idea of what market prices these cars trade for. History Table for the Soarer Model: JZZ31 3.0ltr -> month and year a car rolled out of the factory by their VIN (serial #)


Here is a table I lifted from Wikipedia that can be informative . Looks like this info is based on Calendar Year. The annotations in blue are references from which the editors lifted the numbers. Looks like they have lumped the 1991 production with the 1992 that is why the number of production is a lot bigger than sales and technically the Lexus SC model started in 1992. So is the 120 number only for the 1997 calendar year manufactured vehicles ? I still don't know ! Hope one day we will find a more credible source and will find out .

Thanks guys . I have posted pictures of the car on my build thread . It will be a work in progress since it has been wrecked . I just hate to see the damn car be scrapped for metal. It has been sitting for 18 months and no one was buying it from the owner who is a member here. I guess the pictures he posted on a thread on this forum and on his classified show it to be beyond repair. Even I thought it to be that way in the beginning. But after a thorough analysis and a lot of conversations and pictures from the owner , I truly believe it is an easy fix for me since I got every piece I need to get the car where it should be.

the shadow rose quartz metallic one from san diego area, factory 1997 5spd, the ad expired as far as i know, i don't think it was sold. really was mint... sure wish i had the money!!!
