OK... I cant seem to find in the threads how to open the door if BOTH latches have stopped working.. First the inside, then about 2 weeks later the outside... Now the passenger has to climb over the driver's seat - which is not good for my leather, the shifter, the mirror, etc..

How do I get the door open with both latch handles not working so I can remove the panel and actually get to the clip?

(Incidentally, the mirror only goes half way down a week after the second latch stopped working)

And, do you think the issue might be in that #5 compenent beyond the "clip" being that both handles are inoperable?

you might have to break through part of your door panel.
some people think this is the only way, some people think that if you take all the screws off except for the ones you cant get to (because you cant open the door) you will be able to pry enough of it back to manually release it.

it is tough but I remember people claiming to have actually open without drilling through the panel
