Default Transmission return line...

I have done a search and couldn't fine a definite answer on what line (of the two coming from the radiator) is the return line for the transmission fluid?? I am trying to perform a complete flush of the tranny fluid instead of just a dump of the pan. I am thinking the correct line is on the driver's side of the radiator (this one looks like it goes to the rear section of the transmission) but this is just a guess....

Thanks....

I just finished the tranny flush and the correct line to remove for a SC400 is the driverside (upper) line.. This is the line that goes back to the rear of the transmission(return) and if you connect a fitting(I used a brass barb fitting) and a piece of 3/8" clear pipe, you can flush the transmission and tranny cooler with about 12 quarts of new fluid (4 extra quarts to just get everything out). Just make sure you only remove 2 quarts at a time and stop and refill the transmission (helps if you have some one to start the car while you watch the container).

The only issue is getting the last 10% out of the clutch packs. You really need all four wheels off the ground to run thru all gears to exchange that fluid... But for $60 and about an hours time.... Cheaper then the dealer...
