I know man u were right, the only boot am mIssing is the E brake boot.
I am trying to find the best deal i know they sell about $300 but i don't wanna spend 300 on a diff right now, i got some connections i will let you know.
Wanna sell your 97 bumper ? Joking lol .
I was going to give it up, then i realise how much time and effort i invested in that car, it wasn't even about the money spent ,i was like i will fix it.Actually i have a few guys that want to buy it ,If i even sell it i am getting a MK4.
Let me ask you does your outside temp displays anything when u press the botton? mine doesn't show nothing!!

Oh ok, cause i am missing the under shifter rubber boot right now and need to find one that fits the hole i cut. Def let me know when you find out about the diff, cause i would like to get one myself. Are u going to get another open, 1.5 or 2way by the way?

I want to get the sc400 oem front lip for my 97 bumper and a rear lip so the car looks a little meaner.

How much do they offer u? MK4 huh, those are nice, i wanted one back in the day but I actually love how the lexus looks so decided to stick it out plus the interior is so much nicer!

My temp gauge still works, the only issue i have is still havent had time to figure out the damn abs light issue yet ( never got around to installing the abs only ecu instead of the abs/trac ecu.

Roughly 5-6 months depends really. Yeah that would be cool, like I said before I have some in-laws up your way so a trip up isn't too bad.

BigGreen i didnt get the 1.5 or 2way?

I know it would look mean as hell ,i always find one and they are always damaged split in the middle.
My brothers in law stalks me everyday one is offering 7.5k as is right now. If i get the MK4 i will buy another SC believe me, i just waste a lot of time and money with Acura 3 years ago i had 4 Acuras now i regret buying them because it was a waste of time and money!!! I will never by an Acura.
I could have bought 2 Supras 5 years ago i kept telling myself "next year, next year and next year" but kept on buying those BS a*&% cars lol.I wanted one when i was 12 years old.

Did you have the TT brakes before the swap? Does your ABS motor cycles when you press the Brake pedal? Mine cycles and something the ABS light comes on.

I can't wait till you finish your car man, hit me up when u get back

Haha, I used to always want the Acura legend coupe with the gold package 6speed. My boy actually just got one and its pretty mint. But does not look as good as the lex if i must say.

No, I did the TT brakes during the swap, and if i step on the brakes they just lock up old school style!

I cant wait till i finish and can walk and drive again. If everything goes well I will be making a trip to MD in november. I will let you know tho

I know how you feel, my mpg went down also. When I first got the car I was getting 22-23mpg. Now after some mods and new injectors I am lucky if I can get 16. But it's soooo fun to drive. Will hopefully get it tuned sometime this week and raise the boost on the stock twins again. I currently gathering all the parts for my W58>R154 swap. So far I have

1JZ Bellhousing
Soarer conversion kit for R154 (Shifter placement)
F1 stage 3 clutch kit for MKIII: sitting the shed for over a year, I forgot about it. Almost bought another one.
Slave cylinder
Marlin Crawler VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor
1JZ/2JZ Flywheel Bolt Locking Ring
Marlin Crawler Urethane Shifter Bushing For R154 Transmission
R154 Bell Housing to Transmission Bolt Set
I know I am forgetting something. Let me check driftmotion again.

Omar what money? I drive my beater with 35+ mpg and that is why I can enjoy the high gearing. I have the stock rear gear with a TRD LSD. Yea the 4.10 gears cause 80mph to be at 3500rpm but who cares its fun!

I never pulled my trans, I fixed my power steering and my A/C will be fixed over the winter. The clutch works great it just just squeaky.

As for the a/c there are things around that you can do to pull codes on the display and then go from there. I have just been busy and had other things on my mind since Jesseca is now 3mo pregnant. So looking to see how to fab up a bracket for a Recaro Racing Baby seat LOL

Clutch is broken in after 1000 miles. It will squeak due to the heavy pressure plate and also possibly the spring on the clutch pedal and such. Just deal with it and enjoy the nice clamping. Mine creaks like a old lady in a rocking chair.

I have a couple ideas that I am going to work on to deal with it but who cares, I'd rather have the clamping force and creaks than smooth quiet and slipping stock crap.

I have a welder now so I can and will be fabbing up stuff soon. Going to work on an intake and some other things too.

So i install my SC430 Diff last night it took me a few hours, but it was all worth it.
The SC430 Flange that's on the Diff is different than the one on the SC3, the one from the 430 is little longer so i had to use the SC300 one which i removed witha 35mm socket and it came right out.
I was suppose to replace the seal but forgot to buy it so that will be later.
