ok i have an sc300 with 1jz swap and im using the stock w58 that was with the car. i recently blew it up im making over 400hp. trans had over 210k on it.

my question is do i swap same trans in. i only do highway pulls.

do i go r154 if so do i need to get new clutch and flywheel. if so why.

or what other cheap options do i have

Yes, and because wont fit the r154... search and there will be a few good post about why and why not.

 

guess ill just put another w58 in it.

i know supras came with it can u use those are they stronger.

 

The MKIV W58 supras are exactly the same as the ones in the 95-97 SC300 5-speeds, same construction, same weaknesses. 400hp is usually their limit.

R154 can take your 400hp without many issues. Do a search on what you need for an R154. Off the top of my head you need a new flywheel, clutch, driveshaft, and rear end. More might be needed, im not sure.
