SC300 restoration thread - pics
i picked up my SC300 last week in tulsa from Jonny (Dx3) and have been busy ever since. the car was in rough shape to say the least. i am in the process of replacing all of the interior parts with newer oem ones that dont show 16 years of wear. this week i replaced the carpet and got a good start on cleaning every interior piece and finding out what can be salvaged and what has to be replaced. next i will be piecing together parts for the 97+ conversion as well as replacing the headlights, etc. car will also being repainted later this summer and then i will wrap up the interior. let me know what you guys think - i appreciate all of the input and help thus far. ill be sure to keep the thread updated each week as more and more gets done.

plan on using the car for a daily driver for a year or two until my wife's IS is paid off and then i'll be boosting it. i figure i will have at least a year or more of getting the car into great shape. with all of the paint and interior work i will be relieved when the car is to the point that my wife isnt embarrased to have it in the driveway. i just have to remember to pace myself and not break the bank too quickly.

Never a dull moment.... I love it when someone buys something, and all they see is victory in the end... G/L with your project.. Its sitting high to me also.. I would wet sand the headlights, and buff them out, before replacing them. If they are still not bright enough, then take them apart and clean the inside glass, and shine the low beam headlight.. Just follow O.L.T. forum on it.. Very good thread. It might be a good idea to paint the woodtrim while you have it out, as well as fixing the cracked dash center vent, if its cracked. Are you having the seats recovered? Whats your plans for the inside? All original or going for the unique look?
