radiator flow
so which way does coolant flow? i am doing this swap on my supra and i noticed that the thermostat is on the left side of the motor which on a sc it looks like it goes to the bottom of the rad. but on my supra's old motor the side with the thermostat went to the top of the rad
The thermostat is in the same location as the MK4 Supra since our blocks are damn near identical minus the guts. As for flow direction, Ive never really asked myself that question. I guess if you really want to know you can try it out yourself. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and let the motor idle until it reaches temperature. Let us know whats up!
the coolant is pulled by the pump from the bottom of the radiator through the thermostat, into the block, into the head, then out of the head to the top of the radiator. as the coolant moves from the top to the bottom it dissipates heat.
