I live in WA, haven't seen that car yet. All the SC's on the street I've seen are stock or buckets.

When you say 8.. Chinese kinda "slang" the word and say "phat" .. yeah, i know PHAT.. =_=' ..

anyways

Phat means riches, money lets say
6 can be pronounced as "lo"
lo meaning keep on, or continuosly
so 8 again.. is rich continuously richer.. kinda thing..

You might see a lot of 168 ..
put together can be pronounced as "yut lo phat" meaning keep on getting richerr

My license plate is 888 .. lol Balllinnn'

Hope I made sense

Hmmm... I'm pretty sure I've seen this car from a distance, but I doubt he'd recognize me since I haven't driven the SC in months after the GS400 took over Not really a fan of the mods, but to each their own

Doesn't take much to pull someones address from a plate.

Check SupraForums. I know at least one guy that got his car stolen out of his own garage.!
How did this guy know they stole the car because they found this license plate online and tracked it down to his house?

Honestly this is no more dangerous then driving down the street and having a guy trail you home. Or going to a car meet and having someone write down your plates there or again trail you home.

If someone is going to steal your car they will steal your car. Seeing your license plate online isn't suddenly going to make someone track you down. Honestly its more then likely that if someone was going to do that, you gave them that idea yourself by bringing up this issue.

Maybe he thought the 'Q' was an 'O' making the liscense plate read... "YOW"...
Which I suppose might be an "asian" name? Oy.* I must be a detective.

Well, to be honest, he doesn't.
And you make some valid points.

But if someone were perusing sites looking for cars to strip or part out, they just got their invitation.

I'm not saying that its GOING to happen, its just respectful to blur the plate for the owner who may not want that information out there.

Thats all. Just err on the side of caution.

Act really really offended and make a bigger deal out of it than you should because other people are reading your posts... You know, like most people on forums do
