need suggestions on a drop
i have 97 sc400, going to get new set of wheels soon, most likely all 19. then i will drop the car at least 1 inch. dont like to spend tha much on the drop, i just want to get a set of lowering springs with stock shocks, anybody have this set up can share some info? is it good or not, where can i get good ones? thanks alot.
i use to have eibach pro kit springs on my SC with tokico hp shocks. rode like stock, way too soft for me. the drop was a bit less then 1.5"
this is how the car looked with a set of 18x9.5+20 stern st-2 in the rear. minor fender mod. dont have a pic with the fronts installed.

flushness, or lack thereof, picture:

onejay, ur car doesnt look like it got a drop, if thats 1.2 drop in the front and .9 in the rear, then i will drop mine like 2 inches. my question was if i just get the lowering springs and stay with the STOCK shocks, is tha alright? thanks all for helping
on my first SC I had lowering springs and I hated them ...
then on my second SC I had Tokico Illuminas on it and I loved them ... they rode better thn stock suspension and the drop was perfect ...
after I upgraded to coilovers I gave the Tokicos to my brother ...
here is a pic of his car on Tokicos and 19" Touges

I would greatly recommend the Tokicos if you're looking for a smooth ride and a nice drop without going to coilovers

i just did a google search and here is a link to them at luxurymods ... i'm sure you could probably find them cheaper elsewhere ...
and they are spring and shock combo
i'm not entirely sure about exactly how much it dropped the car, but i was very pleased with it, it was perfect for me and for my brother too
