Yeah under $2000 man took around 12 hours or so because we had ran into some first time swap issues and we did a rear main seal also. We didn't have all the tools necessary and there was a bad master slave cylinder provided. Cut most of the time out with the BS problems and it could be popped out in a day or 2. Time and cost are nothing this is not a full engine and tranny swap. We have access to nearly all the parts. www.uza70.com can help anyone going manual.

lol don't really wanna sell since it's getting a nice fresh paint job, but i've had a boosted SC before, so this time i'm really wanting to do a 5spd SC400.

I would test drive a 5sp sc300 first, loooong before I would put your v8 on the market. I would take a good condition sc400 over the same in a 5sp sc300. Just my opinion. Now if you want a nice, reasonable priced 5sp coupe, go no further than an early e46 BMW 330. Test drive a good one, it will make your day.

I live here in MD, Baltimore in fact. Many of my NELOC members have done the conversion for under $5K. $2-$3K is reasonable in our area, especially if you do alot of the work yourself, or have the help of friends who know what they are doing. This, my man, is the power of networking. Use it. To the OP of this thread, I would consider the swap and hold on to your car. As others have said, you know what has been done and/or what may need to be done. With another car, you will prety much be starting all over again with the guess work.

find someone else selling something similar and you'll know who is trying to eliminate the competition by flagging your add (it has to be a Craigslist member flagging it for it to be removed....twice). Then arrange to see their car and kick them in the *****.

There's an Australian company that has a complete swap kit, all you do is provide the transmission and it want to say its about 1300 AUD.

OP,

Your car is beautiful. It's funny that you mentioned wanting a 5 spd SC3 ... I just saw a Craigslist ad for a '92 for less than $5K (Orlando).

BTW ... I really like those wheels. What are they?
